Woman of the Year

Congratulations to our 2024 Woman of the Year, Darlene Flagg!

Darlene has served on our National Board as both Vice President and President. During her time on the National Board, Darlene made a great impact on the organization by developing a clear roadmap to engage younger generations and dedicating her time to providing professional development to women in the industry. Apart from her contributions to WIFS, Darlene’s role at National Life Group allows her to focus on the advancement of women in the insurance industry. She is a mentor, a coach, and an advocate to those within the industry and organization. We are proud to congratulate Darlene as our 2024 WIFS Woman of the Year and appreciate her radiant leadership and contributions to us, and the industry as a whole.

Application Requirements

Nominees must be current members of WIFS
Nominate another person or yourself.
Chapters earn points toward Chapter of the Year for each Chapter member nominated.
National Board members and previous Woman of the Year recipients are not eligible
Complete application by July 31. Nominations received after July 31 will not be considered.

Dates and Deadlines

April 1: Nomination acceptance period opens.
July 31: Nomination acceptance period closes.
August 1-31: Awards Committee nomination review period.
October 20-22: Finalists' information will be shared at WIFS National Conference.
