  • How can the industry and WIFS help you grow professionally? Is there a need to offer advice on resumes, how to dress, where to meet prospective employers, confidence building exercises, etc?
  • Where do you see yourself in five years?
  • How can WIFS best reach the next generation?

Maricarmen Maisonet Gonzalez

 

Maricarmen Maisonet González, CFP®, ChFC is an Investment Advisor Representative and Financial Planner with MassMutual Puerto Rico. She has been in the investment industry since 2008, and her experience includes risk analysis, asset allocation, portfolio construction and portfolio management.

She is dedicated to helping families achieve balance and a feeling of confidence when dealing with their finances.

Maricarmen is a founding member and current president of WIFS’ Puerto Rico Chapter and a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. She was recognized as one of the Women Who Lead in the 2022 edition of Caribbean Business.

She is a mother, wife and dog rescuer.

 

 

Yanira HoyosYanira Hoyos, MBA is Senior Vice President and Registered Rep for Financial Wellness PR – a financial firm focused on helping clients make innovative and creative financial decisions to achieve financial well-being, offering investments and insurance in a holistic approach.

Yanira earned her BBA in management and her MBA in human resources from the University of Sacred Heart in Puerto Rico. She holds Series 6 and 7 with insurance licenses registered in Puerto Rico, Florida and Texas. Yanira is the author of multiple articles related to career development opportunities in the financial services industry and managing personal finances for women.

Yanira was recognized in Who’s Who of Professional & Business Women in 1997 and was named one of the Women Who Lead by Caribbean Business in 2012 and a Woman to Watch by Mirame Siempre Magazine in 2019. She won the Gama (now Finseca) Management Award from 2016 to 2020 and was a WIFS Circle of Excellence qualifier in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. In 2018 she was chosen to be part of the MassMutual Women’s Advisor Board.

In 2019 she founded the first Aspiring Chapter of WIFS in Puerto Rico and served as president for two years until the chapter became accredited. She is also an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, SHRM and Finseca. She is godmother of the Bumby Foundation Center dedicated to children with cancer.

Yanira is married with two children with whom she loves to spend quality time. She is a black belt in traditional Shotokan karate, admires nature, and in her spare time enjoys making bonsai, painting and photography.

 

Samantha BeauvaisSamantha Beauvais is an Associate Financial Planner at Aviance Capital Partners and also writes professionally in her spare time. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2016 with dual bachelor's degrees in anthropology and psychology.

After working as a bookkeeper and financial project manager for six years, Samantha earned a certificate in financial planning from Boston University in 2021 and she passed the CFP® exam in March 2022. She is currently pursuing the Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC®) designation and hopes to become an Enrolled Agent in the future.

Samantha is passionate about working with underserved communities and she is dedicated to making quality financial education and advice more accessible to those who need it.
