The Woman of the Year award recognizes a member for their level of engagement with the association. This includes, but is not limited to serving as a mentor, volunteering to serve on a task force or participating in WIFS programs. Award selection is based on the submission of completed applications. All WIFS members are eligible.

Application Requirements

  • Nominees must be current members of WIFS
  • Nominate another person or yourself.
  • Chapters earn points toward Chapter of the Year for each Chapter member nominated.
  • National Board members and previous Woman of the Year recipients are not eligible
  • Email a completed application and supporting information to the National Office by July 31. Nominations received after July 31 will not be considered.

Dates and Deadlines

April 1: Nomination acceptance period opens.

July 31: Nomination acceptance period closes.

August 1-31: Awards Committee nomination review period.

October 4-6: Finalists' information will be shared at WIFS National Conference.
