Christina Aleckson is a Registered Representative of Securities America, Inc. and Investment Advisor Representative of Securities America Advisors, Inc. She currently holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 26, 63, and 65 licenses as well as state insurance licenses. She has also earned her Behavioral Financial AdvisorTM designation in 2017. In December 2019, she was approved to use the RICP® Retirement Income Certified Professional® designation from The American College of Financial Services. She is also a Wealth Management Certified Professional.

Beginning in 1996, Christy started her venture into the financial services industry. She specializes in pre and post retirement planning as well as wealth accumulation and protection for individuals, families, and small businesses. She believes in providing focused and consistent service to her clients. She believes that financial issues do not have to be overwhelming and works to educate her clients about the options they have to meet their goals.

Christy has chosen to work with independent broker-dealers her whole career because she feels it allows her control and unbiased choice over the plans she develops with her clients. She is passionate about helping people and feels that her career allows her to assist clients in many different areas of planning so they can feel secure.

Early in her career, Christy began working with public school district employees as one of the targeted segments of her clientele. Since 1996, Christy has developed a deep level of understanding of the Oregon PERS system. For several years, she and Marsha Yandell (retired) did public seminars on PERS and Social Security benefits. She has worked with many clients to help them understand their PERS retirement options as part of their overall retirement plan and coordinate these benefits with their other qualified retirement accounts. She will continue working with this group as part of her practice to help make the complicated PERS system a little easier to understand for public employees.

Born in Pendleton, Oregon, Christy's family moved to Soldotna, Alaska when she was five years old. Christy came back to Oregon to attend college at Pacific University in Forest Grove. She obtained a Bachelors degree in both Business Management and Political Science. Later, she decided it was time to fulfill another personal goal of earning a Master's degree and got her Masters in Business Administration from George Fox University. She feels strongly that she has the best of both worlds by being raised in Alaska and maintaining close ties to Oregon through her entire life.

Christy served 10 years on the Board of Directors of Women in Insurance and Financial Services, Portland Metro Chapter ending November 2018. WIFS works to create strategic alliances, education and support for and of women in the financial services industries. Christy served as the President of WIFS Portland Metro for two years from 2010-2012. She also served on the board of directors for WIFS national organization from 2012-2014, chairing the Marketing and Public Relations committee.

In October 2018, at the Women in Insurance and Financial Services national conference in Austin, Texas, Christy won Woman of the Year. This is the highest honor for a member of the organization. The Woman of the Year aware recognizes a WIFS Member for her level of engagement with the organization. This includes serving as a mentor, volunteering to serve on a task force or participating in WIFS Programs, as well as service in other organizations in her community. Christy was a top three point earner in the criteria being evaluated and won via a live voting poll at the conference.

In 2019, the Portland Business Journal recognized Christy as a Woman of Influence in their annual awards program. Candidates are nominated for the award and the Journal then reviews nominations for impact in the community, community involvement, industry recognition, and more. There are 25 honorees in 2019.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, interior decorating and home improvement, gardening, animals, basketball, reading and being involved in the community. She is a proud season ticket holder to Pacific University's revival of football since 2010-11 and serves on the Boxer Club Board of Directors. Go Boxers!

"How Women Win"

It's no secret that women are not the best at putting themselves first. They spend much of their energy worrying about whether they are good enough, whether they are doing enough. They are so busy trying to prove their worth through their "accomplishments" and "successes" that their self-worth diminishes. Jane will show you how you can become more empowered to take back your life in order to WIN at LIFE -- professionally, personally and philanthropically. Through an interactive experience you will receive some tools that will allow you to train for life just as intentionally as athletes train for sport in order to become CHAMP10NS for themselves, for others and for their well-being. You will develop your own definition of success and develop the skill to say NO, so you can say YES to what really matters. You will understand the Power of Full Engagement and how that impacts all aspects of your life.

Jane's passion for coaching harkens back to her career as a sales manager and consultant, training and coaching sales professionals and management teams within the radio industry. That experience, combined with the challenges she faced in her personal life, gave Jane a twofold mission: to coach other professionals and individuals going through transition and to specialize in working with organizations for the development of healthy employees to make a positive impact on the bottom line. As a former small business owner and business developer, Jane understands the overwhelming demands that impact the everyday life of entrepreneurs and sales professionals. Jane coaches using the 3D tools to give others the opportunity to create a deliberate and sustaining strategy for living and working a more balanced and fulfilled life. Jane is a certified yoga insutructor, a licensed real estate agent, and founder of a nonprofit serving women and children, New Pathways for Youth.
